Nelt Group Highlights Angola Partnership at Business Forum

Representatives of Nelt Group participated in the high-level bilateral roundtable “Serbia and Angola: From Successful Projects to New Partnerships,” held at the Palace of Serbia to mark 50 years of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The event brought together senior government officials and business leaders from Serbia and Angola, including Angolan President João Lourenço, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, ministers from both governments, representatives of the chambers of commerce and companies already operating or exploring opportunities in African markets.

Discussions focused on economic indicators, investment opportunities and ways to further strengthen trade and business ties between Serbia and Angola. Participants highlighted the potential for expanding cooperation across a range of sectors and creating new partnerships between companies from the two countries.

During the forum, Marko CilićNelt Group’s Chief Financial Officer and Acting CEO, presented the company’s experience in Angola, where it has been operating for more than 15 years. He noted that Nelt has continuously invested in the country by developing modern distribution capacities, creating jobs, building local expertise and expanding into manufacturing through Candy Factory Angola.

According to Cilić, what began as a distribution business has evolved into a broader platform that supports both international partners and local economic development. Nelt’s participation in the event underscored the company’s long-term commitment to international partnerships and its strategy of strengthening its presence in high-growth markets, particularly across Africa.
