Slovenian President Welcomes New Government

Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar has invited Prime Minister Janez Janša and members of his ministerial team to the Presidential Palace for discussions aimed at strengthening cooperation between the country’s key institutions.

The president expressed hope that the meeting would mark the beginning of constructive, professional and respectful cooperation between her office and the new government. She emphasized the importance of dialogue and coordination in addressing the challenges facing Slovenia and advancing priorities that are in the public interest.

The talks are expected to provide an opportunity for an exchange of views on current political, economic and international issues, as well as on the government’s plans for the coming period.

Such meetings are traditionally seen as an important mechanism for maintaining communication between the presidency and the executive branch.

The invitation comes as Slovenia’s new government begins its mandate, with both sides signaling a willingness to work together despite potential political differences. Observers will be watching closely to see whether the discussions set the tone for relations between the presidential office and the government in the months ahead.
