Serbia Secures Gas Supply Until March 2026

President Vučić assures citizens of stable energy and gas supply for the upcoming winter season

Serbia has reached an agreement to secure its natural gas supply until March 31, 2026, President Aleksandar Vučić announced. Speaking after presenting employment contracts to top medical graduates, Vučić emphasized that citizens can feel confident about energy availability during the upcoming winter.

Responding to journalists, Vučić noted that Gazprom is negotiating the sale of its stake in NIS to Hungarian company MOL, but stressed that Serbia will manage its energy needs responsibly, even if the deal does not go through.

He also highlighted that the country’s electricity and gas reserves are sufficient to meet domestic demand.

The president further reminded citizens about ongoing legalizations, urging prompt submissions to benefit those who applied first, and reiterated Serbia’s commitment to secure its energy infrastructure without resorting to risky measures.
