The 21st World Congress of the International Economic Association to be held in Belgrade between 22-26 June, bringing together economists, academics, policymakers and business leaders from across the world. The congress will focus on key global economic challenges, including inflation, energy security, digital transformation and sustainable growth.
The gathering is expected to position Belgrade as an important regional venue for international economic dialogue, while also providing an opportunity for Serbia to strengthen its visibility within global financial and academic networks. Officials say the congress could additionally contribute to tourism, business activity and international promotion of the Serbian capital, especially at a time when the country is increasingly positioning itself as a regional hub for conferences, investment, and major international events.
