Montenegro Sets Sights on French Tourists

Montenegro is boosting its appeal to French holidaymakers this summer with a series of new charter flights from several French cities, including those in the northern Normandy region

This significant step towards strengthening air links was announced by Maryline Haize-Hagron, director of Caen and Deauville airports, following a meeting with Montenegro’s Minister of Tourism, Simonida Kordić.

The discussions, held during a Montenegrin-French business forum in Normandy, also explored extending these flights year-round to establish a sustainable connection.

Minister Kordić, leading a delegation from the Montenegrin government and Chamber of Commerce, also met with Normandy’s regional president and economic and educational representatives.

This visit included an agreement for Montenegrin hospitality schools to collaborate with Normandy’s “Francois Rabelais” school, fostering student exchanges and joint projects.

Further talks with regional leaders focused on new tourism routes, investment opportunities in MICE and health tourism, and sustainable projects to extend Montenegro’s tourist season.

The Ministry of Tourism reaffirmed its commitment to positioning Montenegro as a year-round destination and a key international partner.
