Croatian Innovation Powers Porsche 911 Hybrid

Porsche’s new 911 GTS Hybrid introduces cutting-edge technology developed in Croatia, marking a milestone for the country's automotive innovation

Porsche has unveiled its first hybrid 911, a milestone for both the legendary sports car and the Croatian tech scene.

Beneath its sleek bonnet, automotive expert Mat Watson uncovered a striking detail: a battery proudly stamped “Rimac – Made in Croatia.”

This marks the first time a Porsche sports car will feature Croatian technology at its core, spotlighting Rimac’s role in revolutionising performance vehicles.

The 911 GTS Hybrid combines a 3.6-litre boxer engine with a hybrid system, producing 541 horsepower and 610 Nm of torque.

The T-Hybrid technology includes an electric turbocharger to eliminate lag and a second electric motor integrated into the transmission.

The compact, 1.9 kWh battery, working at 400 volts, enhances the car’s efficiency.

Rimac’s collaboration with global giants like BMW has already placed Croatia on the map as a serious player in the world of high-performance automotive technology.

With Porsche joining the ranks of Rimac’s prestigious partners, the future of electric and hybrid vehicles looks even more exciting.
