UAE’s Alcazar Energy Sets Sights on Serbia with Major Wind Farm Acquisition

In a move underscoring Serbia’s potential as a renewable energy hub, UAE-based Alcazar Energy Partners has announced its acquisition of the 200-megawatt "Celsius 1" wind farm project from Austrian firm RP Global

UAE-based Alcazar Energy Partners has announced its acquisition of the 200-megawatt “Celsius 1” wind farm project from Austrian firm RP Global.

The venture, located in Banatsko Novo Selo, is part of Alcazar’s ambitious commitment to invest up to €600 million in renewable energy projects across Serbia.

With a strategy aimed at positioning Alcazar as the premier renewable energy platform in the region, the company is preparing a portfolio of wind and solar power projects in Serbia, targeting a combined capacity of 768 megawatts. This acquisition is just the beginning: Alcazar’s long-term vision involves developing assets worth up to $1.2 billion in renewable capacity, creating a cleaner and more sustainable energy landscape.

The finalization of the “Celsius 1” project deal is anticipated by the close of the year. Once operational, Alcazar’s projects are expected to generate over 1,700 GWh of clean energy annually—enough to power hundreds of thousands of homes and significantly reduce regional carbon emissions.

As demand for green energy intensifies globally, Alcazar Energy’s strategic foray into Serbia marks a powerful signal of the nation’s burgeoning role in Europe’s renewable energy transition.
