Norwegian renewable energy company Statkraft has announced plans to exit India, the Netherlands, and Croatia, in a reorganization move set to take effect on 1 January 2025.
Part of its refined strategy, Statkraft will divest from its onshore wind, solar, and battery operations in the Netherlands and Croatia, and ultimately sell hydropower and solar assets in India.
The decision aligns with Statkraft’s focus on high-growth potential markets, including the Nordics, Europe, and South America.
The shift follows Statkraft’s acquisition of a Croatian renewables portfolio just five months ago, which included early-stage projects from French developer Neoen.
