The project, set to be completed by 2027, aims to harness this waste heat to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
ELES has already conducted multiple studies on the potential of waste heat utilization, targeting five high-voltage substations across the country. A system for capturing and transporting waste heat is planned, with the bidding ceiling set at EUR 5 million for contractors.
The waste heat, with temperatures suited for heating indoor spaces and greenhouses, will also be used for supplying sanitary water.
