EU Backs Full Implementation of Western Balkans Common Market

The European Union has committed to fully implementing the Western Balkans Common Market, enhancing regional integration into the EU's single market

The European Union has affirmed its support for the complete implementation of the Western Balkans Common Market (CRM), as stated by European Commissioner for Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi.

During a meeting with Germany’s special envoy for the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin, discussions were held about the agenda for the upcoming Berlin Process Summit. Varhelyi emphasized the objective of discussing the region’s gradual integration into the EU single market at the negotiation table.

Varhelyi also expressed satisfaction with his exchange with Lindsay Appleby, the British ambassador to the European Union, regarding support for Ukraine, the Western Balkans, and the situation in Gaza, highlighting the EU’s broader diplomatic engagements and strategic interests in the region.
