Tourist arrivals in North Macedonia increased by 8.3% from January to November 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, according to the latest data from the State Statistical Office of North Macedonia.
The figures reveal a 1% decrease in domestic tourists, while the number of international visitors rose significantly by 13.8%.
In November 2024 alone, the country welcomed 66,701 tourists, with 31.6% being domestic visitors and 68.4% coming from abroad.
The total number of overnight stays reached 138,226, marking a 5.3% increase. Of these, 38.6% were accounted for by domestic tourists, representing a 2.2% growth, while 61.4% were attributed to international visitors, reflecting a 9.2% rise compared to the same period the previous year.
The data highlights North Macedonia’s growing appeal as a destination for international travelers, even as domestic tourism faces a slight downturn.
