Novaston has been awarded the contract to manage the leasing of commercial space at Expo 2027 Belgrade, taking on a key role in the organization of the specialized international exhibition scheduled to be held in the Serbian capital.
Under the agreement, the company will be responsible for the management and leasing of commercial premises within the Expo complex, with the aim of attracting exhibitors, businesses and partners throughout the event. The project is expected to bring together participants from around the world and is viewed by organizers as an opportunity to showcase Serbia as a regional business and investment hub.
Expo 2027 is one of the largest infrastructure and development projects currently underway in Serbia. Government officials expect the exhibition to generate new investment, strengthen tourism and create long-term economic benefits through improved infrastructure and increased international visibility.
The project has also sparked considerable public debate. While supporters argue that hosting Expo 2027 will modernize infrastructure, attract foreign investment and enhance Serbia’s international profile, critics question whether public funds should instead be directed toward priorities such as healthcare, education, public transport and other essential services. The differing views reflect a broader discussion in Serbia over balancing large-scale development projects with immediate public needs.
