Čadež: AI Represents a Generational Opportunity for Serbia

Business leaders gathered in Belgrade to discuss how artificial intelligence, innovation and strategic planning could reshape Serbia’s economic future.

Speaking at the Business Summit 2026 conference in Ložionica, attended by more than 400 participants and 200 business leaders from Serbia and across Europe, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia President Marko Čadež said Serbia has a historic opportunity to use artificial intelligence, innovation and knowledge to fundamentally transform its economy and society.

The summit’s slogan “Building Vision” reflects the increasingly complex global environment and the need for long-term strategic thinking.

Artificial intelligence should not be viewed merely as another industrial trend, but as a foundation of future economic sovereignty and competitiveness.

Čadež also argued that future success will depend on the ability to connect technology, finance, institutions and human judgment into a unified development strategy, stressing that the winners of the next economic era will be societies capable of integrating innovation with effective governance and decision-making.
