Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vučić has confirmed that the new Savski Bridge in Belgrade will be fully operational by the end of March 2027. The bridge, replacing the old structure, is designed to improve traffic flow and support both vehicles and tram transport.
The new bridge will stretch 420 meters in length, with a main span of 166 meters and a width of 38 meters, featuring pedestrian viewpoints that extend to 42 meters.
Vučić emphasized that the modern design will provide a quieter and more efficient crossing over the Sava River, while integrating urban aesthetics.
Construction is progressing steadily, and authorities aim to complete all major works according to schedule. Once finished, the Savski Bridge is expected to become a key infrastructural landmark in Belgrade, improving connectivity and easing congestion in the city center.
