Wizz Air Launches Affordable “Business Class”

From December, Wizz Air will test a new “basic business class” on select flights, offering slightly more space and easier boarding without a significant price increase.

The initiative will initially roll out on five routes, including London, Rome, and Budapest.

The concept is simple: the middle seat in the first row will remain empty, giving travelers more room while boarding. According to Michael Delehant, Wizz Air’s senior commercial and operations director, ticket prices for these seats will not exceed the cost of purchasing an additional standard seat, and passengers will receive the same service as other travelers.

While no extra refreshments are included, the move aims to enhance efficiency and comfort, reflecting a growing trend among low-cost carriers in Europe and the U.S. to compete with traditional airlines by offering premium options at accessible prices.
