Slovenian Business Club and Expo 2027 Team Foster Regional Business Cooperation

Business leaders from Serbia and Slovenia explore new forms of cooperation and investment ahead of major regional projects.

Representatives of EXPO 2027 Belgrade and the Slovenian Business Club met at the Expo 2027 Playground at the Belgrade Fair to discuss new avenues for collaboration between Serbian and Slovenian companies. The gathering drew business leaders from both countries interested in exploring how major international projects—such as the upcoming specialized exhibition in Belgrade—can encourage trade, partnerships, and investment across the region.

The event is part of a broader dialogue between business associations and institutions working to strengthen the regional economy ahead of 2027. Under the theme “Business Opportunities for Entrepreneurs,” participants exchanged ideas on practical forms of cooperation, from joint ventures and exports to innovation partnerships and sectoral networking.

Dušan Borovčanin, Advisor to the Director of EXPO 2027 Belgrade, noted that the exhibition could act as a framework for connecting companies from the Western Balkans with global partners, helping them expand exports and gain greater visibility. He cited global examples showing that large-scale events often trigger new partnerships and long-term growth for participating firms.

The meeting concluded with a tour of the Expo 2027 Playground, an interactive space showcasing future projects, followed by a networking cocktail where Slovenian and Serbian business representatives shared experiences and discussed potential collaborations.
