Croatia’s Končar – Motors and Electrical Systems has struck a major deal with South Korea’s HD Hyundai Electric, marking a decisive step in its push towards the Asia-Pacific market.
Under the contract, Končar will deliver 70 axial fans by December 2025 for a coastal infrastructure project, with the units engineered to withstand the harshest conditions, meeting top corrosion (C5) and mechanical resistance (IP66) standards.
Though the value of the deal remains undisclosed, the partnership is the fruit of two years of collaboration and positions Končar as a credible supplier within Hyundai’s vast industrial ecosystem, spanning shipbuilding, robotics, and clean energy.
The Zagreb-based group has been steadily boosting its global footprint: in the first half of 2025, it reported a 33% rise in consolidated revenues to €636.8m, with exports accounting for more than 70%.
For Končar, this latest contract is not just a commercial win but a strategic reference point—proof of its technological relevance in one of the world’s most demanding markets.
