Zapad Banka Marks 10 Years with a Gift of Education

A decade of banking, a future of hope — Zapad Banka invests in education for vulnerable youth

Marking its tenth anniversary, Zapad Banka has announced it will donate €18,000 over the next year to support “Učionica družionica,” an educational and psychosocial programme for children from low-income families.

Delivered by NGO Roditelji, the initiative will benefit over 40 pupils at Božidar Vuković Podgoričanin Primary School in Podgorica, and is already active in Nikšić and Bijelo Polje.

Lesia Vykhodtseva, Chair of the Bank’s Board, said they had achieved strong business results over the past decade but were especially proud to be seen as a reliable community partner.

She stated that the donation reflects the bank’s commitment to fostering a fairer, more humane society.

Kristina Mihailović, Executive Director of Roditelji, expressed her gratitude, noting the organisation’s long-standing goal to expand support for vulnerable children.

She said the programme could not have grown without trusted partners like Zapad Banka, adding that their involvement means much not just to the NGO—but to the children themselves.
