Russia Sets New Record for Gas Deliveries to China

On 27 July 2024, Russia set a new daily record for gas deliveries to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline, as announced by Gazprom

This achievement surpasses the daily contractual obligations between Gazprom and the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), highlighting the robust operational capacity of the pipeline.

The Power of Siberia pipeline, operational since 2019, was constructed to transport natural gas from eastern Siberia to China. This infrastructure project is crucial for both nations, enabling Russia to diversify its energy exports and China to secure a stable energy supply to support its economic growth.

This record delivery strengthens the energy cooperation between Russia and China, showcasing the strategic importance of the Power of Siberia pipeline in the global energy market. As energy demands evolve, such achievements underscore the significance of international partnerships in ensuring energy security.
