The satellite, launched into space on 3 September 2020 via the VEGA rocket, was originally set to remain operational until 2025.
However, due to the satellite’s low orbit, various factors such as Earth’s thin atmosphere caused it to burn up over Africa on 29 September 2024, shortening its mission by a year.
Despite the early end, Trisat has made significant contributions to science, particularly in the field of electronic and information systems.
