Austrian startup Infrared.city harnesses AI to revolutionise climate-responsive building design, claiming victory at the Podim Pitching competition

In a display of innovative brilliance, Infrared.city, an Austrian startup, emerged as the winner of the Podim Pitching competition, held as part of the prestigious international business conference in Maribor, Slovenia.

The platform, powered by artificial intelligence, offers real-time insights into climate impacts, enabling architects and urban planners to create more sustainable and resilient buildings.

Amidst fierce competition from 141 startups across 23 countries, Infrared.city stood out, capturing the attention of an international jury.

The event, which took place from May 12 to 14, brought together nearly 200 startups, 58 venture capital funds, and angel investors managing over €8.2 billion in assets.

Among the other finalists were Austrian-American startup Neubau Energy, Austrian ventures Scavenger AI and Iknaio, and Bulgarian Skillplate, which also earned a special award from conference partner Infobip.

Podim’s mission to elevate promising startups and connect them with global investors continues to play a crucial role in the growth of the European tech ecosystem.
