Slovenia Retains Olympic Gold in Mixed Team Ski Jumping at Milano Cortina 2026

The Slovenian team of Vodan, Lanišek and Prevc siblings dominated the competition, securing their country’s second medal at the Games.

Slovenia successfully defended their Olympic title in the mixed team ski jumping event, delivering an outstanding performance. The team scored 1,069.2 points, finishing 30.9 points ahead of silver medallists Norway and 35.2 points ahead of bronze medallists Japan.

For Domen Prevc and Anže Lanišek, this marked their first Olympic medal, while Nika Prevc added a silver from the women’s normal hill individual event to her collection.

Nika Vodan, who competed under her maiden name Križnar in 2022, was also part of the gold-winning Slovenian team in Beijing. This victory solidifies the Prevc family’s legacy, as all four Prevc ski jumpers now hold at least one Olympic medal.

The Slovenian athletes praised teamwork and dedication as key to their success. Domen Prevc described winning an Olympic medal as “the biggest thing you can achieve in sport,” while Nika Prevc highlighted the joy of sharing the achievement with her brother. The team will next compete in the men’s and women’s large hill individual events and the new super team format later this month.
