In Bratislava, Antonio Tajani Italy’s Vice President of the Council of Ministers met with Ferit Hoxha, Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, where both sides reaffirmed the strong strategic partnership between the two countries. Discussions focused on bilateral relations, European integration, regional cooperation and shared positions on international issues.
Officials highlighted the high level of cooperation in areas including defense, energy, security, connectivity, trade, culture and political dialogue.
Both countries also underlined their joint commitment to peace, stability and the European future of the Western Balkans.
Albanian representative expressed gratitude for Italy’s long-standing support for Albania’s EU accession process, describing Rome as one of the country’s strongest advocates within the European Union. The meeting concluded with an agreement to further deepen cooperation and continue high-level political dialogue in the coming months, including a planned visit to Rome.
