Nikola Vuletić Takes Helm as President of Serbian Bankers Association

Nikola Vuletić, Chairman of UniCredit Bank Serbia’s Executive Board, has been appointed the new President of the Serbian Bankers Association (UBS) for a two-year term

Vuletić, with over 20 years of banking experience in corporate, retail, and risk management sectors, steps into the role following his previous position as Vice President of the UBS Board. His expertise is expected to bolster the organisation’s efforts to strengthen the Serbian banking sector.

Joining him is Darko Popović, President of the Executive Board of Banca Intesa, who has been named Vice President of UBS. Popović, with over two decades in banking and more than 15 years at the helm of Banca Intesa, will support the leadership transition.

Outgoing UBS President Predrag Mihajlović of OTP Bank Serbia, who served two terms, is recognised for his efforts in addressing key challenges such as foreign currency loans, banking fees, and navigating the COVID-19 pandemic. The new leadership team will take office on 1 October.
