Lokrum Island to Reopen 1 February with Free Ferry Rides for Visitors

Visitors can enjoy free ferry rides during the opening weekend and St. Blaise celebrations

Nature enthusiasts and tourists have reason to celebrate as Lokrum Island, located just 600 meters off the coast of Dubrovnik, Croatia, prepares to reopen its gates on 1st February 2025, weather permitting. Known for its lush greenery, historical landmarks, and serene atmosphere, the island is a popular destination for both locals and visitors.

Adding to the excitement, free ferry rides will be available on the opening weekend (February 1-3) and during the Feast of St. Blaise, offering the perfect opportunity to explore this Adriatic gem.

The Argosy boat, with a capacity of 63 passengers, will provide ferry services on weekends—Saturdays and Sundays—until April 1st, 2025. Detailed schedules will be available on the reserve’s official website.

Tickets will be sold at the Luža sales point in Dubrovnik from January 27 to February 3, between 8:30 and 16:00. Starting February 5, the ticket office will operate from Wednesday to Sunday during the same hours.

This announcement marks the approach of spring and invites everyone to rediscover the natural beauty and tranquility of Lokrum Island, a short boat ride away from Dubrovnik’s historic old town.
