Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport has soared to new heights in 2024, recording its highest passenger traffic to date. According to figures released by VINCI Airports, the operator of the airport, nearly 8.4 million passengers traveled through the hub, marking a 5.3% increase from last year and a remarkable 36% rise compared to 2019.
The airport also managed over 86,000 flights, a 3.4% year-on-year uptick and 22% higher than pre-pandemic levels in 2019.
Globally, the VINCI Airports network handled over 318 million passengers in 2024, an 8.5% growth from the previous year and a 3.7% increase from 2019.
This upward trend underscores Belgrade’s growing importance as a regional travel hub, reflecting not only its connectivity but also the rising demand for air travel across the VINCI network.
