Kristina Doros and Ana Drašković Take the Helm at Visa in Central and Southeast Europe

Visa, the global powerhouse in digital payment solutions, has strategically enhanced its leadership team by appointing Kristina Doros and Ana Drašković to pivotal roles overseeing its operations in Central and Southeast Europe

Visa, the global titan in digital payment solutions, has fortified its leadership structure by appointing Kristina Doros as the Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Central and Southeast Europe. Doros is tasked with steering Visa’s operations across a diverse portfolio of 17 nations spanning Southeast Europe, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Ukraine, and Moldova.

Bringing over two decades of experience from the forefront of the financial sector, Doros has been part of the Visa family since 2016. During her tenure, she has played a pivotal role in managing Visa’s products and services across the CISSEE region, including the Caucasus and Central Asia, demonstrating her adeptness in navigating the complex financial landscape.

Andrew Torre, Visa’s Regional President for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, praised Doros’s appointment, highlighting her extensive industry experience and proven leadership abilities. “Kristina’s exceptional skills are set to drive payment innovation and accelerate market growth, leveraging her deep insights alongside our dedicated local teams,” Torre remarked.

Simultaneously, Visa has announced the appointment of Ana Drašković as the new Vice President and General Manager for the Southeast Europe (SEE) region. Drašković transitions to Visa from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), where she oversaw banking business development in over 70 countries. Her rich background, including leadership roles at KPMG and in startup ecosystems, has been instrumental in transforming the payment industry and fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Drašković stated, “It’s a tremendous privilege to assume such a crucial role at Visa and to contribute to further enhancing its stature as a trusted commerce enabler in the SEE region.” Her leadership is expected to extend Visa’s network of secure and straightforward digital payments in Southeast Europe, further advancing the region’s digital economic transformation.

Doros also lauded Drašković’s extensive experience across various sectors and regions, emphasizing her contributions to industry transformation and her support for innovation and entrepreneurship. Under the new leadership, Visa aims to continue expanding its digital payment acceptance network and stimulate the digital transformation of local economies, ensuring a seamless and secure transactional environment for its customers.
