Croatia Tops Eurozone Inflation at 4.9% in March 2024

In March 2024, Croatia recorded the highest annual inflation rate in the eurozone at 4.9%, according to Eurostat

Croatia continues to lead the eurozone in inflation rates. It is anticipated that the annual inflation rate in the eurozone for March 2024 will be 2.4%, down from 2.6% in February, according to a flash estimate by Eurostat, the European Union’s statistics agency.

Simultaneously, Eurostat announced that Croatia’s inflation rate in March was 4.9% on an annual basis, the highest in the eurozone.

Looking at the main components of inflation in the eurozone, services are expected to have the highest annual rate in March (4%, steady compared to February), followed by food, alcohol, and tobacco (2.7%, down from 3.9% in February), non-energy industrial goods (1.1%, down from 1.6% in February), and energy (-1.8%, an improvement from -3.7% in February).
