Croatia’s taekwondo national team has been recognised for a series of successful performances at major international competitions, with athletes recently securing medals at the World Championships, European Championships, Grand Prix events and the Mediterranean Games.
The latest successes further underline the strength and consistency of Croatian taekwondo, which has established itself as the country’s most successful individual sport in terms of international achievements. The national team’s results across several major competitions have also demonstrated the depth of Croatia’s talent and the continued competitiveness of its athletes on the international stage.
Receiving the representatives of the national team, Plenković praised their dedication, discipline and hard work, as well as the contribution of their coaches.
He said the series of medals confirms the continuity of quality and strong form within Croatian taekwondo.
Plenković also said that the Croatian Government and the Ministry of Tourism and Sport support the Croatian Taekwondo Federation, alongside other individual and team sports. He stressed that sport contributes to Croatia’s international profile while helping young people develop values such as discipline, commitment and perseverance as they enter professional life.
The meeting offered an opportunity to recognise not only the medals won at recent competitions, but also the sustained work of Croatian athletes and coaches behind them.
