Škoda Superb Crowned Slovenian Car of the Year 2025

European automakers dominate shortlist for the first time since 2017

The Škoda Superb has secured the prestigious title of Slovenian Car of the Year for 2025, triumphing over the Dacia Duster, Peugeot 3008, Citroen C3, and Renault Symbioz. This year marked a notable return to form for European manufacturers, with all five finalists hailing from the continent—a first since 2017.

The winner was announced on 15 January during a grand event at the Park of Military History in Pivka, following a rigorous selection process. The competition began with nine automotive-focused media outlets nominating their top five choices. The final decision combined votes from nearly 33,000 readers, listeners, and viewers, alongside scores from participating journalists.

The Škoda Superb clinched victory with a commanding 50 points, leaving the Dacia Duster in second place with 40 points. The Peugeot 3008, Citroen C3, and Renault Symbioz followed with 26, 24, and 20 points, respectively.

The accolade reinforces the Škoda Superb’s reputation as a standout in the European automotive landscape, celebrated for its design, performance, and innovation. This year’s competition also highlighted a resurgence of interest in European models, reflecting the evolving preferences of Slovenian consumers.

As the automotive industry continues to navigate a period of rapid transformation, the Škoda Superb’s win underscores the enduring appeal of quality craftsmanship and cutting-edge engineering.
