Serbia Crowned European Water Polo Champions in Belgrade

Serbia claimed the European water polo title on Sunday, becoming continental champions after a dominant tournament held in Belgrade.

Playing in front of a home crowd, the Serbian national team delivered a confident and cohesive performance, reaffirming its status as one of Europe’s leading water polo nations.

Hungary finished the championship in second place, while Greece secured bronze. Serbia’s consistency throughout the competition stood out, with strong defensive organization and effective attacking play proving decisive in key matches.

Several Serbian players received individual recognition, with Dušan Mandić, Milan Glušac and Strahinja Rašović named to the Team of the Tournament. While the entire squad impressed, particular attention was drawn to young newcomers Vasilije Martinović and Milan Glušac, whose performances marked them as important figures for the future of Serbian water polo.
