Serbia and Egypt Forge New Economic Partnership with Free Trade Agreement

Serbia and Egypt have taken a major step towards strengthening their economic partnership by signing a Free Trade Agreement and ten additional bilateral cooperation documents

The historic signing took place in Cairo, with Serbia’s Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade, Tomislav Momirović, and Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hasan Al Hatib, officiating the agreement. 

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi were present to witness the event.

President Vučić, speaking at a joint media briefing with President al-Sisi, emphasized the strategic importance of the Free Trade Agreement, which encompasses 10,412 tariff lines for Serbia and 6,075 for Egypt. 

“This agreement is of tremendous significance, paving the way for enhanced trade and economic cooperation,” Vučić remarked.

This new agreement is expected to open up significant trade opportunities, deepen economic ties, and foster greater collaboration between Serbia and Egypt, reflecting a mutual commitment to shared prosperity.
