Maistra Appoints New Executive Board Members

The appointment of Marko Pokrajac and Juraj Šikonja marks a pivotal shift as Maistra eyes future growth, with a promising outlook for 2025.

In a strategic move to solidify its leadership, Maistra has welcomed Marko Pokrajac and Juraj Šikonja as new members of its Executive Board.

Both have been appointed to serve until 31 December 2027.

Tomislav Popović, previously the sole member of the board, now steps into the role of President, following a decision by the Supervisory Board in December.

Pokrajac, an alumnus of the University of Rijeka, brings extensive experience in finance, having worked within the Adris Group since 2003. He has served as Chief Financial Officer for Maistra Hospitality Group since 2016, overseeing finance, procurement, and IT.

Meanwhile, Šikonja, who previously held the position of Director of Operations at Maistra, boasts a distinguished career spanning KPMG and McKinsey & Company. An MBA graduate of INSEAD, he now brings his global expertise to Maistra’s board.

Despite a slight drop in units sold last year, Maistra’s revenue grew by 6%, reaching €326 million.

Encouragingly, the company’s booking numbers for this year already exceed last year’s figures, signaling a positive outlook for 2025.
