Strong Driver Of Development

The establishing of Ananas in North Macedonia represents the largest online project. Over previous months, this market has gained a unique combination of a wide range of products, fast delivery and secure payments, which has resulted in a top service for users

A part from undoubtedly becoming a key player in the e-commerce domain, Ananas.mk has the ambition of contributing, with the support of Delta Holding, to the growth and development of the country’s digital economy, employment levels and the economy of North Macedonia, which represents a small market with limited resources.

The market of North Macedonia hasn’t previously had an opportunity to experience the kind of top online shopping experience that you provide?

― North Macedonia is the first country on our road to internationalisation and that is an endless source of pride for us. Our end goal is to transform the experience of online shopping on this market.

With just a few clicks, we now offer local consumers a range of products in various categories, including technology, home appliances, clothing, footwear, cosmetics etc. As our vision states: everything around us is or will be ananas… From day one, we’ve remained fully committed to our goal of ensuring that you can find everything you need at ananas.mk.

It is important to note that doing business in this way has a strong influence on the development of the economy and strengthening the market, while simultaneously providing an incentive to ensure equal conditions for doing business, particularly for SMEs.

Best testifying to our efforts to justify the trust placed in us are our extraordinary results: in just three months of operations, we’ve gained over 180 listed retailers and over 100,000 products

Interestingly, until just a few months ago, retailers had difficulties launching their own online shops and were under the impression that doing business via Ananas was “complicated”, while they are now selling plenty via our platform, expanding their product range, devising campaigns and recommending us to others.

Ananas has officially been operating in North Macedonia since June 2023, but you only recently commemorated the official launch. We have heard that your team already comprises 40 employees and that you are developing incredibly quickly… How do you view this initial period?

― The beginnings of Ananas.mk on the North Macedonian market were indeed exciting and dynamic or, as we say at Ananas, “Tough, but strong!”. Although we formally started doing business in June, celebrating the official launch was an important moment for all of us. The North Macedonian market provided a great welcome to Ananas.mk, which contributed to our growth and development unfolding at this pace. Adding to our excellent start is the fundamental support that we receive from Delta Holding, and best testifying to our efforts to justify the trust placed in us are our extraordinary results: in just three months of operations, we’ve gained over 180 listed retailers and over 100,000 products. Our goal is to become the key destination for online shopping in North Macedonia, and we can be very optimistic based purely on the basis of the platform’s constant and stable growth.

Can Ananas.mk become a key player in the e-commerce domain, thus contributing to the growth and development of the country’s digital economy, employment levels and business sector?

― The answer is very clear and concrete: of course. North Macedonia has a small market, with limited resources. When such a serious player as Ananas enters the market – with serious investment, knowledge and experience – expectations are huge. We will provide all small producers with a relevant place to sell their products, enabling them to visit, with excellent conditions for advertising and high visibility. By educating the market, providing support to our retailers and business partners, and developing our own operations and consequently theirs, it is clear that we will quickly become a driver of all the aforementioned domains.
