Ljubljana’s Summer Flights Expand to 26 Destinations

Ljubljana's airport is soaring to new heights, offering more connections than ever before, as 24 airlines prepare to take passengers to 26 destinations this summer

Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport is set for a bustling summer season, with 26 destinations accessible through 27 routes from March 30.

This year marks a major expansion, with two new carriers joining the fray: KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and the German low-cost airline Eurowings.

KLM will operate daily flights to Amsterdam, while Eurowings, part of the Lufthansa group, will serve Düsseldorf three times a week starting in mid-April.

Passengers will enjoy more frequent flights to key European hubs. Transavia will bolster connections to Amsterdam, and Turkish Airlines will increase its Istanbul services to 18 weekly flights by June.

British Airways will ramp up its Heathrow routes, with eight flights per week starting in summer.

The diverse selection includes Iberia to Madrid, Aegean Airlines to Athens, and Finnair to Helsinki, among others.

With 1.4 million passengers in 2024, a 13.3% increase from the year before, Ljubljana is regaining its momentum, especially on routes to Istanbul, Frankfurt, Zurich, and Belgrade, which have now surpassed pre-pandemic levels.
