CEBAC Hosts First Major Conference, Bringing Together 200 European Companies in Serbia

On 18th September, Belgrade welcomed the first major conference of the Council of European Business Associations and Chambers of Commerce in Serbia (CEBAC), gathering over 200 companies from 14 European business organisations

The event focused on the much-anticipated Expo 2027 and its impact on Serbia’s economy and business landscape.

Sanja Ivanić, General Secretary of CEBAC, kicked off the event by underscoring CEBAC’s mission to connect its member companies with key players in the Serbian market. “Our goal is to foster collaboration and create opportunities for businesses to thrive,” she said, pointing to the conference as a key step toward that vision.

Presentations from Dušan Borovčanin, Director of Expo 2027, and Boris Bjelica, General Director of Serbia’s Construction Directorate, outlined the numerous opportunities Expo 2027 will bring.

The event is expected to attract more than 100 global delegations and millions of visitors, providing a platform for Serbian businesses to engage with international partners and drive growth in areas like innovation, infrastructure, and sustainability.

Additionally, the Irish-Serbian Chamber of Commerce was officially welcomed into CEBAC, further strengthening the group, which now represents over 2,000 businesses in Serbia.
