“Finding Ways”: Serbian Artists’ Exhibition Unveiled in New York

The "Finding Ways" exhibition, showcasing contemporary Serbian artists, has made its debut in New York at the MC Gallery in Manhattan.

This follows its previous showing in Washington’s Anacostia arts district last fall.

Initiated by Belgrade gallery owner Marija Milošević and Elizabeth Escobar, the wife of diplomat Gabriel Escobar, the exhibition features works from 12 contemporary Serbian artists, as reported by Voice of America.

The exhibition presents the creations of current Serbian painters who are faculty members at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Applied Arts of the University of Belgrade, along with works from their students. Among the featured artists are Đorđe Stanojević, Vuk Vučković, Ivan Milenković, Jovanka Mladenović, Aleksandar Mladenović, Nikola Božović, Vladislav Šcepanović, Kristina Bajilo, Tijana Kojić, Goran Čpajak, Julija Kasteluči, and Sonja Radaković.

The exhibition, inaugurated by the Consul General of Serbia in New York, Vladimir Božović, will remain open until December 28. It is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia.
