Tina Šutej Wins Silver At World Indoor Championships

Slovenian veteran adds another major medal to her career

Tina Šutej secured a silver medal in the women’s pole vault at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Toruń, Poland, marking her eighth medal at major international competitions.

Gold was claimed by Molly Caudery, who cleared 4.85m, while Šutej finished just short despite strong performances throughout the event.

Both athletes cleared 4.80m, but the decisive height proved out of reach for the Slovenian on her final attempts. Bronze was shared by Angelica Moser, Amálie Švábíková and Imogen Ayris.

At 37, Šutej continues to compete at the highest level, coming close to her national record and expressing both pride and slight frustration after the event. Despite narrowly missing gold, she highlighted the achievement as another major milestone in an already impressive career.
