The Robevci House in Ohrid, a jewel of historical architecture, is undergoing significant restoration, thanks to funding from the Ohrid Institute and Museum and the Ministry of Culture. With an investment of three million denars (€50,000), work includes repairs to the exterior and roof, as well as internal reconstructions, ventilation improvements, and enhanced insulation.

Director Goran Patchev highlighted the need to upgrade the security systems, particularly for the ‘Golden Room’, which holds priceless artifacts, including a golden mask and over 500 golden items.
A new video surveillance and alarm system will be installed to protect these treasures.
Patchev also emphasized the need for a dedicated archaeological museum in Ohrid to properly display the growing collection of ancient artifacts currently stored away in depots.
The restoration of Robevci House will not only improve conditions for exhibits and visitors but also ensure the continued preservation of Ohrid’s cultural legacy.
