Proposed Doha-Dubrovnik Flight to Strengthen Qatar-Croatia Ties

A new direct flight between Doha and Dubrovnik could soon connect Qatar and Croatia, enhancing tourism and fostering closer ties

Dubrovnik’s Mayor, Mato Franković, has proposed a direct flight between Dubrovnik and Doha, aiming to boost tourism and deepen ties between Croatia and Qatar. In a recent meeting, Qatar’s Ambassador to Croatia, Her Excellency Asma Naji Al-Amri, expressed Qatar Airways’ interest in the route.

The direct connection would offer Middle Eastern travelers easier access to Dubrovnik’s UNESCO-listed Old Town and the Adriatic coast, while serving as a gateway to the Far East market. The discussions also explored potential joint investments in tourism infrastructure, with Ambassador Al-Amri underscoring the importance of strengthening bilateral relations in both tourism and economic cooperation.

As European tourism rebounds, this route could open new avenues for cultural exchange and mutual growth.
