In a recent interview on Lex Friedman’s podcast, Ivanka Trump revealed their ambitious project. “Right now, I’m working with my husband on this incredible venture,” she said. “We’re collaborating with the best architects and top brands to bring this vision to life.”
The mountainside resort, operated by Vlad Dronin’s ultra-luxe Aman brand, will feature the renowned Carbone restaurant, a favourite among food enthusiasts. “Aman will manage the hotel, including villas, and Carbone will handle the food and beverage offerings,” Trump shared. “It’s exciting to bring together such exceptional talent and to re-engage with real estate in a creative way.”
Ivanka Trump, who previously worked alongside Kushner in the White House before stepping back to focus on family life in Miami, emphasized their commitment to honouring the island’s natural beauty. “We’re trying to respect the existing topography,” she explained. The conceptual designs aim to balance modern aesthetics with the natural vegetation and terrain, avoiding the creation of a mere “beautiful glass box.”
“Obviously, we want glass to showcase the breathtaking ocean views,” Trump noted, “but we’re striving to do it in a way that feels unique and takes full advantage of this extraordinary location.”
The Aman brand, with its over 30 properties in 20 countries, is a favourite among the elite, including Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, the Kardashians, Angelina Jolie, David Beckham, George and Amal Clooney, Tom Hanks, and various royal family members. Known for its unparalleled luxury, rooms at Aman resorts typically start at around $1,400 per night, with villas commanding up to $50,000.
This new venture by Trump and Kushner promises to add another jewel to Aman’s illustrious portfolio, offering guests an exceptional blend of luxury, natural beauty, and world-class culinary experiences.
