Historic Castle Redevelopment To Boost Wellness Tourism In Croatia

The project aims to transform a heritage site into a modern health and tourism destination.

Croatia is moving forward with the redevelopment of Inkey Castle, a project designed to position the site as a leading wellness tourism destination. The initiative combines preservation of cultural heritage with modern facilities focused on health, relaxation, and sustainable tourism.

Plans include the restoration of the historic complex alongside the development of wellness amenities such as spa facilities, accommodation and recreational areas.

The project is expected to attract both domestic and international visitors seeking high-quality wellness experiences in a culturally rich setting.

Officials see the redevelopment as part of a broader strategy to diversify Croatia’s tourism offer beyond the coastal season, strengthening year-round tourism and supporting regional economic development.
