Bosnia and Herzegovina Suspends Departure Tax for a Year

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, upon the proposal of the Minister of Communications and Transport, Edin Forto, has adopted a one-year moratorium on the departure tax for passengers.

Moratorium which will come into effect at the beginning of 2024.

‘Although the tax is something that is charged to airlines for departing passengers, known as the departure passenger tax, it is a multi-million incentive. In 2024, we are abolishing this tax on the proposal and with the consent of the Civil Aviation Directorate BHDCA and the director Čedomir Šušnjar’, stated Forto.
