Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Đedović Handanović announced that citizens will be able to submit applications for energy vulnerable consumer status through the national eUprava system. The measure is intended to simplify administrative procedures and improve access to state energy support programmes.
According to the ministry, the digital application process should make it easier for socially vulnerable households to receive benefits related to electricity and energy consumption assistance.
Officials said the initiative forms part of broader efforts to modernise public administration and expand the availability of digital public services in Serbia.
The government has increasingly focused on targeted energy support measures in recent years amid rising utility costs and broader energy market volatility across Europe.
