During her visit to Pristina, Kos said she was pleased to meet caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti and thanked him for the warm welcome. She highlighted that 88% of people in Kosovo* believe in the country’s European future, describing this as a strong public mandate for continued integration efforts with the European Commission.
Kos added that the European Union is ready to intensify work with Kosovo* on economic development, democratic progress and structural reforms, particularly in strengthening institutions, rule of law and governance standards. She stressed that 2026 could become a year of European opportunities for Kosovo*, but only if political forces cooperate to ensure long-term institutional stability and maintain momentum in the EU accession process.
