TIK Acquired by Plastiflex in Strategic Deal

Plastiflex's acquisition of TIK signifies a strategic expansion in the global medical device sector, enhancing capabilities in fluid management and urology applications.

TIK, a prominent Slovenian producer of single-use medical devices, has been acquired by Plastiflex, a multinational leader in the development and production of tube and component systems for both medical and industrial sectors.

The transaction, which was confirmed by Plastiflex in a public statement on March 12, 2025, does not disclose financial terms.

Founded in 1951 in Kobarid, TIK initially specialized in the manufacture of sewing machine needles before evolving into a key player in urological catheters, respiratory therapy, and gastroenterological devices.

The company employs 90 people and operates a 1,500-square-meter cleanroom facility.

This acquisition enables Plastiflex to expand its product portfolio in fluid management while reinforcing its manufacturing presence in Europe.

It also introduces urology as a new vertical within Plastiflex’s healthcare division. TIK’s integration into Plastiflex’s global network positions the company for further growth and enhanced commercial stability.
