Velje Brdo: Montenegro’s Ambitious New Urban Development

Montenegro is embarking on an ambitious urban development project named Velje Brdo, designed to eventually accommodate up to 40,000 residents.

Situated just outside of Podgorica, this initiative represents a major step in modernizing the region and expanding housing, commercial, and recreational spaces.

Velje Brdo is envisioned as a vibrant, self-contained urban area, featuring residential neighborhoods, office and retail spaces, schools, and public amenities.

Local authorities and developers aim to create a high standard of living, stimulate economic growth, and generate new employment opportunities.

The project reflects Montenegro’s strategic push toward regional development and urban modernization, offering a forward-looking blueprint for the area surrounding the capital.
