Tuzla’s Bold Urban Transformation

Plans for high-rise developments set to reshape Tuzla's cityscape, promising a modern blend of residential and commercial spaces

Tuzla, a city known for its industrial past, is on the verge of a dramatic transformation.

The city’s “Kreka – Jug” district, located near the bustling Bingo City Centre, is set to become the site of an ambitious urban regeneration project.

Following a period of public consultation, the plan’s second phase promises a striking skyline, with three high-rise towers—each 16 storeys tall—standing as new urban landmarks.

This project is not just about height. Alongside the sleek towers, the area will boast a mix of residential and commercial spaces, with a focus on pedestrian-friendly streets, green zones, and modern infrastructure.

Some existing structures will be retained, but many outdated buildings, remnants of the city’s industrial era, will make way for this new vision.

Tuzla’s western sector, once home to coal mining, is rapidly becoming an attractive urban hub. This regeneration aims to inject new life into the area, offering a dynamic, functional space for residents and businesses alike. As the city evolves, the “Kreka – Jug” project is a bold step into the future.
