Tahir Taslaman Succeeds Tarik Kurbegović as Head of Sarajevo Stock Exchange

Tahir Taslaman has been appointed as the new director of the Sarajevo Stock Exchange, succeeding Tarik Kurbegović, who will continue to contribute as an advisor after 12 years in leadership

After a 12-year tenure steering the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE), Tarik Kurbegović has stepped down from his role as director.

His departure marks the end of an era for the institution, which has seen significant growth and modernization under his leadership. Kurbegović’s expertise will not be lost, however, as he transitions to a new role within the organization as an advisor, ensuring that his influence continues to shape the exchange’s future.

The SASE Supervisory Board has appointed Tahir Taslaman as the new director, a move that promises both continuity and innovation.

Tahir Taslaman

Taslaman, who previously served as the executive director, is no stranger to the complexities of the capital markets, finance, and IT sectors. His deep understanding of these areas is expected to drive the stock exchange forward, particularly in a landscape that is increasingly shaped by digital transformation.

SASE officials emhasized that Taslaman’s appointment will enable the exchange to further enhance its services, improve operational efficiency, and expand digital solutions. His innovative approach, coupled with his extensive experience, is anticipated to be a significant asset as the exchange navigates the dynamic and often volatile world of capital markets in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As the Sarajevo Stock Exchange enters this new chapter, the combination of Kurbegović’s enduring influence and Taslaman’s forward-thinking leadership is set to steer the institution through the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
