Sarajevo Chosen as Host of the Balkans’ Largest Amazon Conference

Sarajevo will host the biggest Amazon Web Services conference in the Balkans, with over 500 participants and tech leaders from companies like Amazon, BMW and Disney, KAIP announced

The Cantonal Agency for Investment Promotion and Privatisation (KAIP) in Sarajevo announced that the Bosnian capital will host the largest Amazon Web Services (AWS) conference ever held in the Balkans.

According to KAIP, the AWS Community Day Adria 2025 will take place on 5 September, bringing together IT, software engineering and AI experts from companies such as Amazon, DataHog, HashiCorp, BMW Group and The Walt Disney Studios.

KAIP director Adnan Jašarević said the event sends a strong message about Bosnia and Herzegovina’s rising profile in the global tech sector.

He reportedly added that the presence of global tech leaders could open the door to new investments, projects and job opportunities.

The conference will be opened by AWS Vice President Jeff Barr, whom KAIP described as a key figure in the platform’s global success.

The event is being organised by the AWS User Group of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by local experts Dženana and Dženan Dževlan.
